Powertrain Standing Committees

Standing Committees are made up of Union members that perform various functions inside and outside of the plant.  
     UAW Standing Committees reflect the intent of the section of our by-laws which provides for their formation.  
     The UAW meeting structure is based on "Robert's Rules of Order," which provides for the formation of 'Standing Committees."  These various committees are the vehicles through which special interests of the membership are addressed.
     These committees are the venue for further participation in Union activities by individual members.  The Standing Committees are also methods for individual issues/concerns/opportunities to be addressed with the help of other members who share the same interests.

     The Standing Committees answer directly to the Shop Chairman.
