- SCHEDULES –

Our current production schedule is 6437 transmissions per day. As of April 3, 2006 our schedules drop to 6000 transmissions a day. We all know schedules could frequently change due to higher fuel prices or lower car and truck sales, therefore any new changes other than this new schedule decrease will be immediately communicated to our Union membership.

- MANPOWER -

Due to the decrease in schedules we will continue with TLO’s (Temporary Layoffs) for April 2006. Approximately 440 members (304 Production & 136 Skilled Trades) will be on TLO. Another 150 members will continued to be placed in the jobs bank and training will continue for their respective classifications.

- SPECIAL ATTRITION PROGRAM -

On Tuesday, March 28, 2006 UAW Local 14 President Oscar Bunch, Benefits Representative Carlo Herd, Steve Rupley Shop Chairman Elect and your Shop Chairman attended an informational meeting at the HRC in Detroit. The following questions and answers will hopefully provide some insight for our union members, so they can make an informed decision for their future.

In addition, informational meetings for our union members will begin the week of April 3, 2006 for this buy-out program as well as information for the new 6-speed project and the quarterly business report. All union members will have the opportunity to attend these meetings. All union members will be notified when their area will attend in the plant Action Center auditorium. This will take several weeks to accomplish. Attached are the questions and answers for the most frequently asked questions concerning the special attrition program.
