ATTENTION GENERAL MOTORS RETIREES ON MEDICARE

Recently, many of our retirees received a letter from ProMedica warning them ProMedica doctors would no longer be participating on the Aetna Network effective January 1, 2019.

However, General Motors retirees on Medicare have Aetna’s Medicare Advantage Plan.  You will have coverage until        June 1, 2019.

The UAW Medical Trust has informed us that ProMedica and Aetna are currently re-negotiating.  There is a high probability that the situation will be resolved before June 1, 2019.

If ProMedica and Aetna cannot come to an agreement, the UAW Medical Trust will inform retirees in plenty of time to dis-enroll from Aetna and go back to Blue Cross Traditional.

For those who wish to dis-enroll from Aetna before a resolution to the negotiation is announced, may do so at any time by calling the UAW Medical Trust at 1-866-637-7555.
