As of June 29, 2021 Letter from International Union UAW President Rory Gamble.  All local union meetings and events are allowed to resume.  The next Powertrain Unit Membership meeting will be Sun. July 18, 2021, the next Amalgmated Meeting will be Sun. July 25, 2021 and the next Retiree Chapter meeting will be August 12, 2021.

This month marks the 55th anniversary of the passage of the Voting Rights Act (VRA), one of the most powerful pieces of civil rights legislation in our history. The passage of the VRA into law was the result of decades of struggle and sacrifice and was truly a shining moment in our history.

Unfortunately, the struggle to ensure that all Americans have the right and opportunity to vote not only continues today, we have actually suffered significant losses on this front over the past decade.

NOTICE TO MEMBERS AND RETIREES

Local 14 meetings and events have resumed as of July 1, 2021.  However, we are to remain cautious and encourage everyone to still practice social distancing and masks are recommended for those who are unvaccinated.

HALL RENTALS:  We are booking all dates for 2021 and 2022. We are accepting security deposits for rentals now.

The Walt Disney Company has agreed to offer General Motors (GM) employees and retirees the opportunity to purchase tickets to their theme parks at a discount.  Prices on the ticket request form reflect savings of approximately 12%.  Proof of employment eligibility is required.  See enclosed order forms.  Please allow 4 weeks for delivery of tickets.
