UAW Local 14

The UAW Financial Officers’ Conference will be held Sunday, March 24 through Friday, March 29, 2019, at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel in Orlando, Florida. This conference is for local union presidents, financial secretaries/treasurers, trustees and recording secretaries.

UAW Local 14- GM Unit Civil and Human Rights Diversity Committee is hosting a Celebration and Conversation on Saturday January 26, 2019 at UAW Local 14 Union Hall.

The UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust will be at the Local 14 Retiree Chapter Meeting on Thursday, February 14, 2019.  Representatives will be available to answer questions from 11 AM- 2:00 PM. 

Show runs from Saturday, January 19 through Sunday, January 27, 2019.

Recent News

Recently, many of our retirees received a letter from ProMedica warning them ProMedica doctors would no longer be participating on the Aetna Network effective January 1, 2019. 

However, General Motors retirees on Medicare have Aetna’s Medicare Advantage Plan.  You will have coverage until        June 1, 2019.

The UAW Medical Trust has informed us that ProMedica and Aetna are currently re-negotiating.  There is a high probability that the situation will be resolved before June 1, 2019.

UAW Navistar members have voted to ratify a new six-year contract. The UAW negotiating team secured significant economic and benefit improvements including the elimination of all tiered wages, profit sharing, pension plan improvements, and a “no closing agreement” which includes language to retain the contract if the company is sold or merged.

The agreement covers Navistar Local 6 and 2293 in Melrose Park; Local 472 in Atlanta; Local 119 in Dallas; Local 1872 in York, PA and Local 402 and 658 in Springfield, Ohio.
